My mate let me borrow the infected video. I have been looking at it since yesterday, i'm going to worship some more then actually watch it!! It's true you know, how many people actually know how to play thethe songs...but everyone who loves them wishes, is there some sort of curse? The johnny marr curse that has spread over the whole of matts career!!? Well, i was wondering has anyone else discovered the gadgets, or the marc and the mambas stuff?

TheThe, regardless of what Johnson has said, will always be pure sex. And whether or not he thinks during those earlier albums, that he was making a story of what kind of man he was, i always believed in the things he brought to me and always will, because he still speaks through me and i will feel it forever..........

Apparently, this community is all but dead. Regardless, I am here. I was at Barnes & Noble one day and, being a fan of They Might Be Giants, I often see cd's by The The.
So I decided to listen to the 30-second clips of it, see how I felt. It sounded pretty good, so I decided to purchase the cd, on a whim.
It was Dusk and I could not take it out of my cd player for the longest time. Then I purchased Mind Bomb, which.. well.. okay, it's not really as good, but songs like "Good Morning Beautiful," "The Beat(en) Generation," and "Armageddon Days are Here (Again)" really stick out on that disc and make me listen to it all the time.
I also recently purchased Naked Self, but have yet to really give it a good listen -- reading along with the lyrics and all.

However, in short, The The is greatt.

When? [13 Nov 2004|05:51pm]

[ mood | disappointed ]

It all seems that we won't see a new The The album for a long while.

Vol. 2? [13 Jun 2004|09:43pm]

[ mood | curious ]

Does anyone know what Matt Johnson would include on 45 RPM Vol. 2? Something to feed my curiosity. He seems to have covered all the bases on Vol. 1, including a lot of remixes on the 2nd disc.

And another question - is there a website online where I can watch The The's videos? The official website doesn't have any - as a matter of fact, it's still in (re)construction at the moment.

Quiet [18 May 2004|04:33pm]

[ mood | hopeful ]

Although it is very quiet here I will ask a question. Maybe somebody is still watching :)
Does anybody know where to find some good guitar chords or tabs of the the?
I am only beginning with guitar playing, but I like to practise with some songs I really like, even though they are a bit difficult.
I do hope somebody can help me.

Favourite Album [23 Dec 2003|09:54am]

[ mood | okay ]

I'm killing the silence in this community for once. I guess it's best to start by mentioning the favourite The The album.

The The - Dusk

I think of it as a great album for the 90's. And songs like Love is stronger than Death and Helpline Operator stay with you for days after you listened to them.

Of course I like their earlier stuff as well. But not as much as Dusk.
